When using the Copolymer (flexible) SnowClaw in hard snow, utilize the rounded "hard snow" edge. Flex into a "taco-shell" shape to conform the SnowClaw into a ridged tool (see fig. above). Then aggressively chop into the snow, clear debris and repeat.

When using the Copolymer SnowClaw in soft snow, little flex is necessary. Utilize the straight edge and scoop snow.

This is also the preferred method when using the Aluminum Pro-Series SnowClaw in all snow conditions.
